Temperament:
Camelot macaws parrots are bred more for their colours than their personalities. These birds are unpredictable and can even develop temperamental changes as they age. A sweet and friendly bird can become a cranky and uncoordinated one as a baby. Understanding your Camelot macaw when it is between 8-10 years old will give you the best chance of getting it. It will then be easier to determine its personality. Camelot’s well-rounded can be affectionate, curious, and compassionate pets.
Feeding:
Yellow Camelot macaw parrots can be fed a variety of fruits, nuts, and commercial pellets. You can also give your parrot any other nutritional food that is healthy. Avoid giving their parrots birds avocados, chocolate, onion, apple seeds, avocados, and uncooked rice. They could be seriously ill or even die from the effects of these foods.
Take Care:
Every other week, clean out the cage and replace food and water dishes with new ones every day. At least once per year, disinfect the cage completely. Trim the feathers to ensure that the bird doesn’t escape through an open window. To escape its fury, trim the beak and nails regularly to prevent them from becoming overgrown.
Health:
Camelot macaws are susceptible to proventricular dilation, kidney disease, infections, and beak malformations.
What Can You Expect From Your Yellow Camelot Macaw Parrot?
You expect your Macaw to be friendly and sociable when you bring him home. This is what you should expect and what you can get. Your Macaw should be treated the same way when you get him as you would in a year. Macaws are intelligent and can bring you joy and enjoyment. However, they can also be annoying and cause frustration if you don’t treat them properly. They will be very fond of you. They will love you so much that they will come to you, your neighbours, and even strangers to pick it up.
But only if you let them know you have him. They are very social birds. Although larger Macaws can be more friendly with strangers than smaller Macaws, they will still get along well with other people if you work together. The whole family should be able and willing to play with the bird. They are very attached to their owners. We have found that the larger dogs are more patient with unfamiliar people.
